If you wish, you can have a Non-Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT) performed during pregnancy to estimate the risk of having a child with: trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome) and trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome)
Amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling
Via an amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling, we examine the amniotic fluid or flakes of placenta. Chromosomal abnormalities such as Down's syndrome, but also other hereditary and DNA problems can be detected in this way.
