Eline Vanaken has started the second year of her PhD within the CardioGenomics group. During her first year, her research focused on analysing single-cell transcriptomics data to gain deeper insights into the mechanisms underlying aneurysm development in Marfan syndrome.
A key milestone was the selection of Eline’s abstract for presentation at the Science in Spain meeting this October, organised by the Marfan Foundation. This event provided a valuable opportunity to present her research, learn about recent advances in the field, and exchange ideas with fellow researchers.
Having achieved this first milestone, Eline is enthusiastic about building on these insights and applying them to the next phase of her research. She looks forward to continuing her work and further advancing our understanding of aneurysm development in Marfan syndrome.
