In this retrospective study, Laura
and colleagues evaluated real-world 𝘔𝘌𝘕1 genetic testing practices in
patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) over a 12-year period. Their
findings reveal moderate adherence to current guideline-based testing
recommendations, while also highlighting opportunities to improve the
identification of patients with 𝘔𝘌𝘕1 through more standardized risk
assessment and endocrine phenotyping.
The
study underscores the importance of timely 𝘔𝘌𝘕1 recognition, not
only for optimizing patient management and surveillance but also for
enabling cascade testing and preventive care for family members at risk.

Using
patient-derived ROS1-rearranged NSCLC cell lines and computational
modelling, this study provides valuable insight into how clinically
relevant resistance mutations influence tyrosine kinase inhibitor
response.
A great achievement and a valuable contribution to understanding ROS1 tumor biology. Kudos to the entire team! 👏
